Patrick Reynolds Mitchell

The  Very Rev  Patrick Reynolds Mitchell  KCVO[1] is an eminent Anglican clergyman. He was born on  17 March 1930 [2] and educated at Eton and Merton College, Oxford. Ordained in 1955 [3] he began his ecclesiastical career with a Curacy at St. Mark's Church, Mansfield[4] following which he was Priest-Vicar of Wells Cathedral. He then held incumbencies in Milton, Portsmouth and  Frome Selwood, Somerset before being appointed Dean of Wells in 1973,[5] a position he held for 16 years. In 1989 he became Dean of Windsor, which post he held until retirement 8 years later.
